About Annie Bean
I was raised in the north of England, where my parents believed that secretarial training would provide the most appropriate future for their daughter. Secretly sketching images of beautiful buildings, I longed to become an architect. But it wasn’t until I arrived in the United States in my mid-twenties that I finally realized my dream and attended university to become an architect. After practicing throughout the western states, I now live in Southern California, where I’ve returned to my first love: making the simplest home look beautiful on paper.
Along the way, I indulged in another love: driving racecars. Oh, you’ll never see me on the track at Indianapolis! But weekends will often find me at the local stadium parking lot, driving autocross in my Formula Ford. Which is why I took up drawing cars. After all: if I can’t beat my fellow drivers on the track, at least I can draw them!
